Biography:

Halifax showed his outstanding potential at his stallion approval in 1999 at Neustadt/Dosse where he received scores of 9.0 for his rideability, jumping ability and ability to perform.  His rideability, trot and canter earned him an 8.  He has truly proven he has an exceptional temperament and kind heart having served as a schoolmaster at shows with kids and young riders, and has won series of L-level tests.  Entitled Section B Champion Stallion at the 2003 Weser-Ems Stallion show he was rated Premium Elite stallion in 2004.

Halifax shines as a sire of outstanding riding ponies.  The number of approved sons has long exceeded 15 and amongst them are Licensing Champions Hakuna Matata, Harry Potter and Highlight as well as Reserve Champions Holiday, Hip Hop and Hot Cream.  More than 10 of Halifax's daughters have received States Premium titles for instance the Weser-Ems Champion mares Sandy’s Girl, Symphonie WE, Charlotta and Philena’s Touch. 

The performance record of his offspring is impressive.  They have qualified for, competed in, and received high placings at the 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, and 2006 Bundeschampionates.  Examples include the stallions Hemmingway, Hatfield, and most notably Hollywood who was the 2005 Reserve-Bundeschampion of 5 year old Jumping Ponies.  His daughter, States Premium Sandy’s Girl was the Champion of the 2003 Elite Mare Show of Weser-Ems, and States Premium Symphonie was the Champion of the 2006 Elite Mare Show of Weser-Ems.  Philena’s Touch finished 4th at the Province Championships in 2008 and won numerous ribbons in young horse classes against warmbloods.  Halifax has also been honored by having the stallion son, Harry Potter, selected for the Oldenburg Elite Auction, and the elite foal, Hallo Robby, selected for the Oldenburg Elite Autumn Auction. In 2004 the Champion Stallion Foal of the Foal Championships was by Halifax.  Roy's Pippilotta by Halifax sold at the Vechta Elite auction.  His progeny Hei-Ti-Tei and Huckleberry Finn were among the top sellers at the 1st Elite Pony Sales auction.  Halifax son Hightrick (approved stallion standing at stud at Nendorf/Björn Heineking) was 6th at the Bundeschampionate (5yo jumping ponies).  Hollywood was Reserve Bundeschampion in 2005 and 4th a year later as a 6yo.  Another approved son was Hemmingway who sold to the US after qualifying for the Bundeschampionate at Warendorf two years in a row and finishing 3rd at Rastede.  In 2009 the Halifax son Haribo became the Bundeschampion of 5 yo show jumping ponies.

Halifax’s imported offspring are also making headlines in the United States. His ponies are turning heads in California, New York, Arizona and Georgia. His son, Highlight, is successfully competing as a hunter/jumper all along the East Coast.  Highlight placed first in the Pony Jumpers class in Aiken, S.C.  He was also the 2005 Reserve Champion of Pony Hunters in Aiken, S.C., and had good placings in the Pony Hunters in Nashville.
