His sire Lombard is the all-time best German riding pony stallion of the Schleswig-Holstein studbook. Born in 1979 and died at only 8-years-old in 1987, he has only 50 registered progeny, but amongst which 4 sons are stallions - from 20 males (i.e. 1/5th of his male production) and 10 daughters classed as ’Staatsprämien-Stute’ (the highest accolade reserved for the best mares in the studbook) - from 30 registered (i.e. 1/3 of his female production). He is equally the maternal grandsire of the other star of the studbook with Linaro: the brilliant Aron N SL. Lombard is famous for having passed on a remarkable jumping ability: he is the sire of excellent winners such as Calinka, Laslo, Lorbas, Lord Liberty, Losander, Maja… In sport his progeny have accumulated 21,615€ of winnings and he has already been ranked amongst the 8 best sires of show jumpers in Germany.

His dam Kasztanka, a British part-bred arab, produced a total of 7 foals: 5 males and 2 females. She produced another stallion, Monte Negro N, born in 1992, by Magnum, and above all Bellefleur (formerly Kira), the full sister of Linaro, born a year before him, who also went out on the international circuit: having produced an NRPS approved stallion in the Netherlands, she began a national sporting career, then international, until participating under the Dutch flag at the European Championships in 1995 at Achselschwang (Germany) where she qualified for the individual finals then at those at Barthahus (Denmark) for Norway in 1995; unfortunately she died after an accident.
