Biography:

Loretta is an elegant, beautiful black mare with a kind and generous character. She is one of our very best mares and we are deeply grateful to the Coldewey family in Germany for making it possible for her to be part of our breeding program. She has been awarded with the title of State Premium. Furthermore, she was the 2004 Champion of the Weser-Ems Elite Mare Show against some 35 other top mares.

This show is one of the determining factors in a mare achieving the status of State Premium. It is reserved for only the highest quality mares who must already have State Premium candidate status, thus it is the best of the best mares, and it is not an easy show to win. Her full brother, Kenwood, was an approved, licensed stallion. He was purchased as a Hunter pony and imported to the U.S. where he is now showing successfully in the Hunter pony divisions.

Loretta’s dam, Lady Brie, has been awarded “Elite” status in recognition of the outstanding quality of her offspring. She produced two stallions: Kinski and Kenwood. Kinski qualified for the Bundeschampionat 4 times scoring a 4th place in 2003. He is now an FEI dressage pony competing at the national level in Germany. The approved stallion, Kenwood, is a full brother to Loretta and is now competing as a successful Hunter pony in the U.S. Lady Brie also produced one Verbands Premium mare (Loreana), and one State Premium mare, (Loretta). The granddam of Lady Brie, Pendock Lucy, is also granddam of the very successful jumping ponies, Boomer and Baccardi, competing at 1.30 meters on the national level.
