Sire Info
Her sire, Verwandtemond, is well-known for throwing foals of exceptional temperaments. He inherited his big, floaty, expressive movement from his sire, Polarmond.
Polarmond was bred and born at the Trakehner Gestuet Rantzau in 1979. He was then imported to Canada and approved by the Canadian Hunter Improvement Society. After standing at stud there for several years, he was purchased by the Barr Trak Farm of Columbia, Missouri. He has become a popular and successful sire of dressage and jumping horses in the Midwest. He has the distinction of being one of four Magnet grandsons standing in the United States, and possesses and produces the movement that Magnet was so famous for. Polarmond was 1st and 2nd Level Horse of the Year in the same year! He was retired to breeding duty where his greatest accomplishment has been to produce foals with elegant, lofty movements that are especially known for their kind and wonderful temperaments.
Verwandtemond’s dam sire, Marduc, is widely considered to be one of the most important Trakehner stallions of today, having previously been ranked the highest Trakehner dressage sire in the world with a very impressive Dressage Index of 155. He was awarded Elite status in 1995 for his breeding record. 3 out of 16 approved sons and grandsons have achieved Elite status.
