Aron N SL is a delightful pony; elegant, with a lot of presence. He shows beautiful energetic, supple and balanced gaits. He jumps with a lot of energy, respect and scope, showing courage and unfailing agility. He is suitable for all mares, as long as they have enough bone, thickness and size.

He is regularly in the top five of the Top 100 SHF of the best sires of show jumping ponies.

Aron N SL has to date 64 sons and daughters indexed to more than 130, of which 34 are indexed above 140 and 14 above 150. He is now an essential sire in France!

ORIGINS

SIRE: His sire, Aldan , born in 1986 and measuring 1.47 m, bred in Schleswig-Holstein, produced just over 30 offspring. He was then sold for competition and competed in eventing, before returning to Haras. Aldan is also the dam-sire of Mac Geyver SL.

DAM: His dam, Bettina, is labeled “Elite Stute” (Elite Mare) in Germany. She is the full sister of the stallion Alcazar N and the dam of 3 stallions: Aron N SL, Menelaos and Quettino de Florys SL. Among her German daughters, two are “Elite Stuten”. Bettina was exported to France, where she produced Narone de Florys (CSO D1P, IPO 145/10), Onantarone de Florys (CSO D1P), Pharone de Florys (E1P, IPO 125/12 - dam of the stallion Tinotauros de Florys, Quettino de Florys SL (CSO D Elite, IPO 149/10), Sissi de Florys (6 year old C CSO champion, IPO 130/12, now broodmare) and Taronextera de Florys (6 year old D CSO vice-champion, French champion Ace Pony 2 D Cadet and less CSO, IPO 146/15).

DAM-SIRE: His dam sire, Lombard, was an exceptional stallion. Lombard passed away at only 8 years old, and has only 50 registered offspring, including 4 stallion sons and 10 “Staatsprämienstuten” award-winning daughters. His production totals € 22,000 in earnings and Lombard is famous for having transmitted a remarkable aptitude for jumping. He is notably the sire of Linaro SL.

PERFORMANCE

Aron N SL was Champion of the Stallion Approvals and was ranked 3rd of 19 at his Stallion Performance Test. He began competing at the age of 5 and finished the season with a bronze medal in the Bundeschampionat Pony Show Jumping. The following year, he was crowned the 6 year old Bundeschampion. He participated in 4 European Championships under German and then Belgian colors in Hartpury (Gbr) in 1997 (ranked 8th in the individual and Reserve Champion European Team at the age of 7 years!). At 8, he won the German Grand Prix championship and was ranked 2nd at the Preis der Besten. Between 1995 and 1998, he accumulated more than € 5,000 in show jumping in Germany.

OFFSPRING:

Aron N SL has 35 offspring registered in Germany, among which 3 approved stallion sons and 2 daughters labeled "Staatsprämienstuten". His offspring in Germany have accumulated more than €24,000 in earnings.

The first French offspring of Aron N SL were born in 2004. His offspring, although competing mainly in show jumping, show great versatility. He has 17 stallions approved in the stud-book of the French Riding Pony. Among the most successful in sport is Royal Aronn du Vassal (IPO 153/16), one of his stallion sons, who competed successfully in Grand Prix. In eventing, he is the sire of the excellent Urgence de Bel'Air, member of the French team at the European Championships in 2019 (IPC 140/19, IPO 139 and ICC 121/17).
