Fox Creek’s Censational

Fox Creek’s Censational is an extraordinary pony. He is the epitome of a German Riding Pony. Totally fluid and elastic through his entire body making him very supple and malleable. He can put the rider wherever the rider needs to be; as his trainer and rider Anna Merritt describes it in technical terms: “He’s very squishy”. He has a ton of freedom through the shoulder enabling him to produce expressive, floaty trots and huge strides. He’s very talented at the lateral movements and trot extensions, and the changes are especially expressive. He is showing a lot of natural talent for passage. He has excellent self-carriage and is very light in the bridle. His movement is the kind that causes goosebumps. As a visitor to the farm commented, “Censational is one of the most OH MY! horses I’ve ever seen.”
His rideability is off the charts. He absolutely loves to work and please his rider. He is sensitive to the aids and forward thinking but never hot – Anna Merritt describes him as having a “containable energy”. He is brave and I don’t think he has ever spooked at anything. He is a stallion that is completely relaxed in mind, body and spirit – and although that sounds a bit corny it is true, which is why his barn name is: Sensei – because he is so “zen” – about everything! He exudes a natural confidence that is not cocky or “stud-ish” in attitude but is simply sure of himself and his place in this world. He is truly one of the kindest ponies I’ve ever had.
Competition
Censational is proving to be competitive in the show ring against top horse/rider combinations. The team of Censational and Anna Merritt have bested 2 time Olympian Peter Gray at PSG and Nations Cup Team member, Anna Marek at 4th level and twice at PSG.
Censational is currently showing at Prix St. George and schooling I-1 and Grand Prix. He will be competing in his first I-1 this coming summer of 2021.

Offspring Gallery
Censational’s first foal crop was nothing short of outstanding. His very first foal was exported back to Germany. His first colt is being retained as a stallion prospect. All of his foals are showing the same elasticity and suppleness throughout their body, with expressive gaits and active hind legs. To top it all off they have the same outstanding character.
